  • A object interacting with smoke but not moving 100% of the smoke it touches.

Hey guys, it looks like I ran into a limitation of Phoenix. I have a small blob of smoke and I animate a box swiping through part of the smoke. Think of a fly swatter swinging through a thick ball of smoke. Right now the "fly swatter" moves 100% of the smoke it touches, so I end up a big blob of smoke behind the object as it moves, not very realistic. How do I set a "percentage of affect" or something like that, so that I get a more realistic movement.

Basically I want this fly swatter to move quickly through the ball and "stir up" the smoke, but not move a big chunk of the smoke off screen. Make sense?

select the object, right click / phoenixFD properties / velocity multiplier, reduce the velocity multiplier to 0.1

    this might help
