  • Is there any way to disable screen space phoenix icons?

    Hi,

After not much luck with Phoenix 2.2 I am now evaluating phoenix 3 to see if it can finally acommodate my workflow, and so far it looks very promissing.

There's one dealbreaker though. I can not figure a way to disable screen space phoenix icons. They drive me absolutely crazy and I can not focus on working in my scene much because I am under constant impression something in my scene is floating totally out of my control. They are also very huge and obstruct my scene, but I am afraid if scaling them as I have no idea if scale of the objects has any effect on the output.

I am simply looking for a way to make their size constant.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

In your Simulator under Preferences in the Simulation tab you can turn off "Show Billboarded Viewport Icons".

      Wow, thank you very much!

By the way I think I discovered mistake in the documentation for Phoenix 3:

FireSmokeSim, which is object that sets up which scene meshes are emitters is here showcased with the settings of what is inside of 3ds Max called PHXSource
      https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...X/FireSmokeSim

And the other way around, PHXSource help contains parameters of FireSmokeSim object here:

I don't see where the problem is. Looks like it should.

The FireSmokeSim is the container with all the scene settings for the simulation.

The PHXSource sets parameters per object.

          Oh, yes, sorry, nevermind.

I got confused with what I was looking at. I think it's because I was used to FireSmokeSim being named PHXSimulator in 2.2. Hence I probably assumed the one that starts with PHX prefix is the grid.
