Hi guys. I would like to buy V-Ray for Maya, and possibly for 3DS Max as well. Being a full-time masters student, I naturally want to go for the student price.
However, even though the website states - Academic Licence for students £64 - when I click on "Find a Reseller", it takes me to a list of "resellers" in the United Kingdom (I am based in Scotland). Over a half of this list don't even offer V-ray from their websites. The only one from the list I found even sold the software was selling for £99 - not including VAT, £118 Inc VAT. That's not excluding the dongle that is also needed, which brings up the total to £160. This is also not including P&P for the Dongle.
Could anyone please direct me to the website that provides the £64 student License? I also know of a website called CGShop.eu. that claims to be an official partner, offering the licence for 99 Euros with the Dongle. However, if anyone could confirm the legitimacy of this site, I would be grateful. There are very obvious spelling mistakes and only one review from "Fabien Fourneret - January 1, 1970, 12:00 AM" So naturally, I am hesitant to give my details to them.
I would really like to have V-Ray in my home, on at least 1 of these packages - even though the university provides Vray, I live an hour away from the University and my funds do not allow me to travel every day.
Thanks!
