  • Help: Denoise not rendering on farm

    I can render denoise locally but for some reason it wont render on the farm.

    Ive tried turning off hardware acceleration, tried replacing rgb with denoised, I cant seem to get it to work.

    Anyone who experience this know of a any solutions?

    Does it render black ?
    Do you have V-Ray log ?

      If I render it out as a seperate pass, yes its black.

      If I overwrite rgb pass it doesnt seem to do anything.

      It did generate a log, its rather long. I can post if that helps or is there something I should look for?

        Is the noise level render element completely black as well ?
        In the log it should say what devices it used for denoising. It could helpful as a starting point to figure that out.

          If I render it as a separate pass, the output file is black.
          If I render the Denoise to overwrite the RGB pass, it seemingly does nothing.

            im not sure I can share the log. In the meantime is there anything I should look for in it?

              If this happens with old scenes only it might be the case that you clicked "no" when V-Ray asked if you want them converted to new settings of 3.4/3.5.
              You can fix that by setting current render to Adv and running the following Max script

              renderers.current.twoLevel_adaptiveMethod=1
              After that you should be able to render and denoise the scene fine.

              If it happens with all kind of scenes and/or this max script does not help, it would be best to contact support@chaosgroup.com
