  • How do I set my GPU as rendering device in Vray 3.4?

There is a description how to make the program use the GPU for rendering, however, it is intended for Vray 2 and does not work with the current version. All I've tried does not work - I have made every possible adjustment concerning VRAY and SketchUp in my GPU management program in order to render images with GPU instead of CPU. Nevertheless, it's all for nothing. While rendering, CPU is at 100% and GPU is at 0%. Can anyone please help?

    Hy,

You must choose in Asset Editor,Settings. In renderer must cturn on interactive, and GPU acceleration. Some options turn on auto. Then to render please choose on the other tab the teaspoon with hand (Render Vray interactive).
Its a liitle bit strange, should be so simple as RT render. Please note that you must choose under Extensions,Vray, Tools, GPU device selection in order to detect your(s) GPU.

Its not the best resource, yet under construction but you can try:

To use CUDA rendering mode first you would need a Fermi-, Kepler-, Maxwell- or Pascal- based NVIDIA cards.
As m_robinson already described, there is a toggle on "GPU Acceleration" found in the V-Ray Asset Editor's Settings > Renderer section.
However, you don't need to run it strictly in Interactive mode. GPU Acceleration is available for both Interactive and non-Interactive (Production) rendering.

      Kind regards,
