We have 3ds Max 2017 on 3 machines and try to use distribute rendering with V-Ray DR Spawner.
We set the custom paths identically on all 3 machines and all textures use UNC paths.
You can render correctly on every machine in single mode - this guarantees, that the texture paths are OK .
When we want to use distributed render we start V-Ray DR Spawner on 2 render nodes.
As soon as we start rendering, the 3dmax.ini files on both render nodes get reset, loosing all the custom paths to textures. Even stranger, it doesn't reset to 3ds Max defaults, but to a couple of days old 3dsmax.ini (there can be still some user paths found, but not all of them).
This happens exactly in the moment, when the V-Ray messages window logs "Server 192.168.1.102:20204: Scene loaded; starting render".
Any ideas?
