    Hello,

By default there is no dynamic memory limit set.
Turning on Settings > Raytrace (Advanced settings) > System > Conserve Memory would set the dynamic limit to 4000 in addition to altering the method Embree uses for storing triangles, which might be slightly slower but reduces memory usage.

In order to help with your problem, could you please send an email at support@chaosgroup.com with some details of the crashes:
What version of V-Ray for SketchUp you are using and are there any other 3rd-party plugins used beside V-Ray?
Does it crash only when rendering a certain project?
    What are your machine's specs?
After a crash and before reopening SketchUp, see what is written in VRayForSketchUp.log located in %APPDATA%\Chaos Group\V-Ray 3.4 for SketchUp
Archiving and sending the project would also be appreciated (Extensions > V-Ray > Export > Pack Scene).

    Kind regards,
