  • section looking weird

    hi,
Im using Skethcup + vray 3 and the section and section mesh are making weird resolts:

    1. some building the section will fill the entire space-
I notice that using double face ( like a wall) will help but not always- Im trying to find some rules to follow.

    2. even in a very small scene, the couch created a face in the section shown in the attached images- I move the couch but it still did that,
    what to do?

Try rendering in a new file or try exploding the couch.

The rule is depending on the front face and the back face direction, the white face is the front face, the blue face is the back face, so V-ray clippers will fill the back faces areas for the object. If you want to see the directions for the faces in your model you could enable the Monochrome button in the Style toolbar.

Just an advice, if you want to work on Sketchup and V-ray without any troubles be sure model all of your objects a a solid objects, and use groups and components for everything you draw in SketchUp.

To fix the non-solid objects You could use this plugin :
