Hello -
I understand there have been some issues with proxy materials, but unsure if this is the same.
I have created a number of proxies with 3.4, and had mostly success. One model in particular is causing problems over and over and reacts differently to interactive versus standard render mode.
In the attached pictures, the correct incorrect render shows the vehicle black with red headlights - the multimaterial is applied to the inner group, and all materials are loaded, however they are mixed up and applied to the wrong material ID.
when performing an interactive render, the initial result appears in this mixed up way. if i open the multimaterial, select one sub-material in the right hand rollout, and 're-link' it to the same material, every material fixes itself and the car renders properly with white body, headlights, etc. if i stop the render and attempt another interactive render, i have the same problem and solution all over again.
if I attempt a standard render on this model, the car appears black, etc with mixed up materials, and there is no way to fix it - i.e., reloading a material with itself does nothing.
i had initial problems converting this model to a proxy - it seemed like it might be related to a good deal of materials applied to groups and components. i have since purged those, leaving materials only applied to geometry.
any workaround or solution for this would be appreciated.
thank you!
Pete
