  • Standalone Material Editor.

    Hello!
Thank you very much for V-Ray Architecture Day Moscow
    Thanks Kalina for T-shirt
And I have a question. During the lecture, Kalina opened .vrmesh files with vrmesh_viewer. I know this program and often use it.

But she also opened the .vrmat files with the standalone version of the Material Editor.
    It looked very comfortable.
Edit the materials without running sketchup and compare the settings before importing.
To my question, Kalina answered that this material editor is included in the Vray for SketchUp 3.4

Unfortunately, I could not find it in the program folders.
Maybe it can be downloaded separately, or is it an internal software Chaos Group?

Yeah, weird, first I've heard of that too, and I would definitely be interested in a standalone editor! (and vrimg viewer for that matter)

      Hello, Ithil,

This is the same material editor which ships with V-Ray 3.4 for SketchUp and Rhino. In both products it is an inseparable part of the new UI.
In V-Ray 3 for Revit, the material editor is currently introduced as a standalone tool. For more info, please visit https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/MTLEDITOR

We currently have no plans to offer the Standalone version for V-Ray for SketchUp or Rhino.

      Kind regards,
      Peter
