I downloaded your file and clicked "render". I'm far from an expert, but here's what I see right off the bat. Hope it helps.

First off, create a saved camera view. I orbited around your scene to look at how it was built, then realized there was no saved views so I had to close & re-open the file to get the view back.
Second, the light coming from outside is extremely bright, yet it's not really filling your space. Looks like your V-Ray Rectangle Lights needed to be set to "Portal" so they help fill the space with the light from the exterior Sun/Sky system.
Third, you need more interior lighting. Can lights, wall washers, etc. Your lamp looks like it's on, and there appears to be a glass shade over it, but it's not letting light pass through it.
Fourth, there appears to be two exterior doors on the right, but neither is passing light to the interior. Add V-Ray Rectangle Lights just outside the windows, then set them to "Portal".
Fifth, set your sun intensity to "0" and light up your scene with interior lighting. Once the interior is illuminated in a way you like, turn your sun back on.
Last, "the devil is in the details". Add base trim around the walls. Fix the flooring at the doors. Add some fur or a pattern to the accent rug. Study the images you posted and see what makes the image come alive to you. Potted plants, trees outside, rounded corners on furniture to pick up specular hilights, etc.
