Error installiing Vray

Hi,

I have Sketchup 2016 and am trying to install the trial version for VRAY and am getting this error message. Any help on how I can fix this, please?

A possible fix for this error would be to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable which you can download from Microsoft website (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx?id=48145)

Hi Peter, I try downloading it. Still the same error.

The option was for 2013. Error message attached.

ok, looks like Australian site didn't have 2015 version. Tried your US link. While installing, this was the error. Attaching the log file too.

It appears that this is a know issue with Windows 8.1 and Microsoft update. Can you please try the following:
1. Download and install this update from Microsoft web site: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx?id=41078
2. Afterwards please run the automatic Windows update and apply the suggested updates if there are any.
3. Restart the computer then download and run this version of the MS Visual C++ redistributable - https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx?id=53587
4. Re-Install V-Ray for SketchUp and check if you will still get the same error.
