  • Glass issue when switching computers

I'm using a clear architectural glass material for my windows while rendering an interior scene. The .skp file and all of my finish-related files (diffuse images, bump maps, etc...) are all in a folder called c:\MyInterior. I copied that folder to the exact place on a new computer. It's running the same version of V-Ray, same version of Sketchup.

When I render on my first computer, it looks great. Glass is see through and clear with reflections. When I render it on the second computer though, the glass becomes just like a mirror, and doesn't let an light in. Why would that be? When I preview the glass material, it looks perfect on either computer. I deleted the windows from the second computer and rendered, just to make sure my HDRI image was still working. It was. I could see my HDRI background and it let light through. So it's definitely that material. But since I'm using the exact same Sketchup file and exact same material files, is there some setting that is causing the material to be rendered completely differently from machine to machine?

It seem a strange issue, try to pack your project rather using the normal copy of the folder, just go to Extensions > V-ray>Tools> Pack Project, copy the Zip folder and unzip it on the second machine, if this issue still occur, go to the Multipliers tab and check if there are any missing images for each option:

Also be sure that you are using the same render Mode for each machine , Progressive for example.
