  • Rescaling a sim

I did a waterfall sim at half the size. Is it possible to scale up the Phoenix FD sim? I tried grouping all the nodes in Maya and increase the scale but the particles are don't line up. Please Help

    Hello,

Can you send us a scene where this is not working? Works correctly in my tests.

I don't know if I can send it, it's a 600 gig sim. Maybe I could send one frame. It seems to work fine for the liquid part of the sim but the particle (which I convert into nparticles) are almost doubled and then they don't line up.

Yes, just one frame is fine .

Is this the scaled version? What version of Maya and Phoenix are you using? Can you show me a screenshot how the particles are not matching? Looks good to me with the latest nightly build and Maya 2017.

I'm using 2017 Maya and with Phoenix 3.04.00. I think I got it to work. I was using Arnold to render and I think that's where I ran into trouble. Thanks for the help

Ah I see - for now Phoenix FD supports only V-Ray in Maya. Glad it works now.
