  • Orthographic Camera renders no Vray Subdivision on surface

    Hi,

First post here, and I have a small problem that I would like feedback on how to solve. I am doing product rendering and when I use a Maya camera without the Orthographic attribute enabled my surface renders smooth, with the Orthographic option in the camera enabled it does not subdivide it.

    I am using V-Ray version 3.30.01
    Maya 2015 sp5
    Windows 10

    This is my setup:

I have the glass jar part of a V-Ray displacement node, inside it I added only the subdivision attribute.

Without the Orthographic option enabled it renders like this:

With the Orthographic enabled in the camera I get this:

Is this a bug, or what am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Leonardo

This should be working with 3.30. Could you share the scene or part of it? For example, you can strip everything from it, but the object that you're having issues with. I'd like to have a look at its settings, the camera settings and the render settings.
