Hey guys, we have many different machines in the office and the way we do it is people swap machines based on licenses and what we require for the job we are doing. Based on this, we have 2 machines with i7s with 3 graphic cards each - I initially thought that is ideal for After Effects work & Octane. Now, I am starting to believe that it is only good for Octane and Redshift and Nuke but not After Effects.
Also, we have 2 machines with dual core Xeons with 60-80 threads. I thought those would be our simulation machines/ rendering machines. After reading this pheonix post, I am starting to think our Xeon machines aren't the best for the job.
Over here we use
Maya with Vray
Maya with Redshift (1 license)
Cinema4D with Octane (1 license)
NukeX (2 licenses)
Phoenix (1 license while it is on trial to figure out what is best)
AfterEffects (2 licenses)
