Is there a tutorial for "God Rays" using V-Ray 3.6 for SketchUp - Environmental Fog. I have tied all different lights in V-Ray, but cannot get any "God Rays"

    Hello,

You can set up one or more Rectangle lights with high directionality value (~0.9) and low intensity at a suitable position depending on your scene. Then go to Settings > Volumetric Environment > Environment Fog > Affected by, choose "Selected Lights" and pick only the Rectangle light(s).

    Kind regards,

      Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have tried your settings, but still have had no success. I must be making some fundamental error. I was using the Volumetric Environment Fog before but not the rectangular light. Do you know of any tutorials or books that might help. Unfortunately, V-Ray 3.6 for SketchUp has only just been released, so I have not been able to find anything yet.

      Thanks again.

      Dave.
