Hi guys, I'm new to doing simulation and phoenix fd, right now I have to simulate a slow moving environment smoke and found it is very slow and inefficient when I sim and reduce the opacity after. Is there a better way to do this?

Hey,
Give the new Precise Tracing method for slowing down simulation a try - you can simulate a faster sim and then retime it using this method - I think for smoke this would work out pretty well: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...Input-FrmBlend

Mmm, yup - you could resimulate using time-bend resimulation but this might take nearly as long as just running a slow regular sim. Alternatively, you could speed up all the scene objects while running the original sim and then slow the Input play speed, but if the smoke is thick around the moving objects, then some gaps might be visible.Svetlin Nikolov, Ex Phoenix team lead
