  • Making a starry sky ceilling

    Hi,

For our work we make sauna and steambath renders for our clients. I would highly appreciate any advice for making a realistic looking starry sky ceilling ( like on photos attached ) - tried working with vray light emmiting material and also with mesh but the results are not convincing...any advice is highly appreicated. Thanks.

Well in the first photo it looks like the stars are added in post (photoshop). To achieve the second picture look, just use a bunch of small radius disc lights with a narrow cone angle and volume fog. Hope that helps

Well it does...up to now i was trying with emissive material discs which didnt work very well. Now i tried placing disc lights with skatter as you suggested and there is real potential there..Thanks!
