      looks like simple glossy material. Apply a high gloss, reflective material and thats' that. If the colored material is on the inside of the building, have the outside glass be semi-transparent/translucent with the inside area of the glass being colored. That'll give the appearance of thickness in the glass. That should be able to be done in Max.

        heh.. poor clowns respoding to this can't seem to realize this is just a trolling. I was trolling... ding ding ding! troooollling. The interesting thing throughout all of this is the fact that no one from Chaos themselves stepped in and offered any input on this situation to any of the groups, Max, Maya or even the XSI jumpy dude. Carry on.

        Maybee if you were a bit more polite, you'd get a bit more help? Starting your involvement in a forum by trolling is not the way to garner friends or favors.

              I offered help. The clown decided to crosspost a debate in another thread. Again.. *I* offered to help.. I read the whole thread before replying. He didn't. It's people like him that can't read which causes problems for those wanting to help.

                  It is not just a glass material but a thick glass material with a layer of colour on the inside, not too much reflection and opaque.
                  Can anyone post something real quick to show how to do it please?
                  Thanks ::

                      Sorry, I apologize for hijacking this thread any further.

                      I was mistaken in thinking that pixelmonk was asking for help instead of responding. I apologize for bringing the 'attack' in here.

                      x-site:

                      I would try making a multi-sub object material. In one slot setup an EGZ Glass material, in the other setup a plain vray material with the color of your choice. Then assign the back face of your window (assuming its a box-shaped object) the material channel of the color, and the other 5 faces with the material channel of the glass (you can do this using material IDs in mesh or poly edit modes)

                          Alternatively, you could use a vray material, put a falloff map in the reflection slot and set a diffuse color:
