Hi,
Let me start off by saying I am brand new to using VRay with SketchUp, so I'm very much in the experimenting and testing phase and am pretty unfamiliar with the program.
However, my basic issue right now is that I seem to be getting walls that aren't rendering out completely. I end up left with a lot of noise/pixels, most noticeable in heavily shadowed areas.
I have built my model in a CAD program called Cabinet Vision and exported that to a .dxf file.
Imported the .dxf file into Sketchup where I applied materials.
I've added one VRay rectangle light hovering just below the ceiling to add some ambient lighting and one omni light in the desk lamp (which doesn't appear to be doing much).
I've turned the intensity on the Sunlight down to 0.75 as this model isn't completely enclosed with four walls.
I'm wondering if I'm not giving my renders enough time to completely finish, if I have a lack of hardware in my computer, or if there is some silly, simple, fix to this that I'm unaware of being a newbie to the program.
Any help, insight, and/or trouble shooting would be greatly appreciated!
p.s. While the QuickStart Guides that ChaosGroup has created for getting started with VRay, does anyone else know of some other great resources for tutorials/troubleshooting?
