Yup, we included our macs in our swarm for a while. Until we caught on that it was cheaper to run it on PCs of better spec #
We were trying to utilise all of our static PCs in our building to get the most out of the swarm as we could. I found that when rendering to a mac (specifically one that was in use by a designer) that it would cause the squares being rendered by the mac to freeze up. I know your going the other way but i don't see why it would be any different, especially if the PCs not being used for anything else other than swarm/menial tasks.
Thank you Matthew! Good to know about the issue with freezing squares. Perhaps Ill give it a try without buying a completely new setup. I could also be a software issue that?s been resolved with latest updates.

There was a problem with freezing buckets at one point (not only MAC), it shouldn't be reproducable with the latest V-Ray. However - if you get such issue - please e-mail us at support@chaosgroup.com
