  • Viewport 2.0 and Legacy Render Layers issue

Hi, I noticed that for Phoenix smoke, even if it is not included in a render layer, it will still shows in the Viewport 2.0. We are using Maya 2018.2.

In the past, we switched to legacy Viewport to resolve this issue, but with Maya 2018, legacy viewport is removed. So is there a workaround it?

    Hey,

The Phoenix preview works on it's own - it does not have any relation to the render layers. Please check the Preview rollout and disable the type of preview you don't want to see - be it voxel or GPU preview. There are also options to show the preview only when the simulator is selected or only in the current viewport.

    Cheers!
