  • V-Ray 3.6 SU 2018. Freeze with RT & Bucket

Hi guys, have there been any known update with windows or any driver to cause this?
Ran 2 x GTX1070 single monitor never had problem.
Single GTX 1070 dual monitor or single = Freeze 90% of the time.
    BOTH WITH RT / BUCKET
Tried setting affinity, same problem. Computer would freeze and i'll have to force shut down.

Currently on nvidia latest driver 390ver.

    Ryzen 1600
    16GB Ram
    ASUS GTX1070 8gb

    Hi,

Could you please provide some additional information?
    - Does this occur with specific project or any (even newly created ones)?
    - Does the V-Ray Progress Window display any errors? Could you please provide the full log?
    - Could you please monitor the Task Manager activity and advise when the freeze occurs?
    - Is the GPU driver 390.77 or 390.65?
    - What OS version are you using and which is the latest update installed?

Any scene and project, but crash or freeze right away with complex scene

      - Does the V-Ray Progress Window display any errors? Could you please provide the full log?
      No errors at all.

      - Could you please monitor the Task Manager activity and advise when the freeze occurs?
I cant specify at which point as the
      CPU is always around 95-99%
      RAM - 95-99%
      GPU fluctuates 80-100%

      - Is the GPU driver 390.77 or 390.65?

      390.77
      - What OS version are you using and which is the latest update installed
Windows 10 Home, just mostly " Update for Windows KB4058258 " stuff
Note that the Windows is newly & fresh installed

Right now i can render with less chance of crashing if i turn the C++/CPU off in the drop down and only select my GPU.
And to do this i have to render and quit as soon as the ' STOP ' button is available to get the option shown in the dropdown otherwise it'll say " No options found "
