  • Thin smoke/ vapor

I?m new to Phoenix FD, I want to make a basic simulation with a emitter with only smoke that rises up and fill the container, now my smoke does not Bounce around it just die, I have set the grid to jammed, also tried some solids to build the room but no luck. I can not find any tutorails about smoke, mostly explosions
Is there any basic things I need to check?

    Hey,

Check the docs first There are example scenes there, tutorials and links. Sounds like in this case you need more conservation quality: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...rvationQuality

Thank you, but I have looked in this document and tried to bump up this value.

Okay then, can you show a screenshot of your viewport and all your Phoenix settings?

        Thanks!

I Think I know why it was only going into one side, I had made a path follow for and other PHX source a the other was follow the simulation from that so now it looks much better

Ah, yes, you have to also watch out for standard Max forces if you are going to drive pflow with them, because by default they will affect Phoenix as well. Also watch out for the smoke dissipation option, and eventually try out PCG conservation instead of Smooth. Conservation of 600 is a huge number though - usually 100 is more than enough and you might get away with 20-50 for most setups.
