  • Tips for rendering white on white?

I have to render cubicles on a white infinity wall setup to give that "product on white" look and feel. These don't need to be super photo realistic. But you do need to be able to see the definition of the outline. The challenge is that a lot of my edges are all made of white plastic. It gets completely washed out unless I crank down the exposure, and when I do that, the rest of the cubicle gets way too dark. For my material, i just took the Plastic Simple Blurry Black that comes built into VRay and changed the diffuse to white.

I'm just looking for tips to help get better definition and less washout of my white portions while still creating a white background effect.

Any tips or direction would be much appreciated. Thanks!

if it doesn't need to be photorealistic, I give edges a little more definition by overlaying a hidden line image (SU 2d export, no shadows, etc.). You can play around with line thicknesses and opacities to get the look you want.
