zdepht

Hi to all, i was trying that have a zdepht with vray. i choose zdepht gbuffer chanell and when i render the scene i see it but twoo questions:
Can i render zdepht without render the scene?
How can i change the range of zdepht on vray? i see all my model white, with default scanline of max i can change with a value but i dont know where is on vray.

The only way I know is to use scanline. Maybe it will be an option with VRay in the near future but not really necessary.
