    Here's an image that I have rendered using Vray mtl to represent "Glass".

    From Left to Right.

    * The first square is rendered with Lens_Bump shader. The uvs in the front have been position at 0,0 so theres no bump. The back face has uvs adjusted to show the bump.

    * The Second square is rendered with 2 shaders : Lens_Bump shader (Back face) & Lens (Front face).

    *The Third square is the same as the first just rotated 180 degrees.

    *The Fourth square is the same as the second just rotated 180 degrees.

    * Third and Fourth both have the bump showing on the front face .

    The issue is that when using a two shaders which are identical only difference is one has a bump texture applied.
    I am not getting any refraction. As show in The 2nd square.

    *The Lens_Bump is applied to the back face and the lens is applied to the front but there are no refractions.

    If anyone has encountered this issue (Bug) I would greatly appreciate any feedback.

    Hey, I don't know if it's only me who can't see them (might be a browser thing), but the attached images don't show up at all. Could you try and reattaching them so we can get a better idea of what's wrong?
    Also - it's always helpful to know what Maya and V-Ray versions were used.

      Okay no problem I will re-upload them. We are Using Maya 2015 and V-Ray version 3.60.03

        Thanks, that makes it a lot more clear. I think I found the problem and I'll forward it to the developers. As a workaround, you could try reversing the normal of the face that has the material without bump - the one your camera is looking through - and see if that helps (it does in my simple test).

          Yes reversing the normal on the non-bump face works great. Our studio was using version 3.04.03 before and did not notice any issues? But since we have updated I can't confirm.
