Unable to switch from Rhino Sun to Dome Light

I am new to V-Ray. I am trying to switch from Rhino Sun to V-Ray Dome Light to change the sky, however when I turn off the Rhino Sun nothing changes, the model does not go dark and the sky stays the same.

The interactive render is working just fine.

I have been following the steps in the online tutorial, but it is obviously for Rhino 5 or earlier as there are some differences to the layout. Are there any steps or settings I could be missing?

Hello, Paul,

You probably still have a VRaySky texture active in the Environment Background map slot. This texture's parameters are directly linked to its selected Sun.
Simply disable its checkbox and make sure your Dome Light is not invisible (LightDome > Options > Invisible).
Although we have recently introduced some UI updates, functionally, there should be barely any difference between the v3.4 (used in the QuickStart videos) and the latest v3.6 for both Rhino 5 and 6.
