  • Enviroment fog settings in vray for sketchup / Volume sunrays

    Dear Forum

I am trying to generate Volume sunrays in my visualization attached.
The only way I find that makes them more intense, is to set "distance" lower in the "enviroment fog" settings.
The effect is good but everything behind in the picture gets very dark.
Is there a way, so that I get a similar effect, but the windows in the background and so on remain white?
For example could I generate a fog cube, that I place into the room?
If yes, can you recommend me a material setup good for this?

    All the best

Have an override render with black material, except the glass.. Make it multiply in photoshop..

      Hello,

You can lighten up the emission color but having dimensional restraints (EnvironmentFog node gizmos) is not currently achievable.
Your request is already logged but not yet on a to-do list. Our dev team will evaluate possible solutions in the near future.

kenancakir's workaround should produce a result quite close to what you've described.

      Kind regards,
      Peter
