  • Rendering stock speeds vs overclocked system

    Hello everyone,

Well like the title says, I am looking for some knowledge and thoughts when it comes to rendering in Vray and if there is a difference of rendering from 4.3 ghz to 4.8 ghz? Currently running my 8700K on asus prime z370 board (updated bios) at stock speeds when rendering out of Maya 2018.6 + Vray 3.6. Does anyone know if there would there be a noticeable time difference in rendering if I overclocked the system on all cores to 4.8 ghz? Just trying to get the most out of my system without pushing it to hard or introducing unnecessary instability. Specs are as followed on rig:

    Asus prime z370

    i7-8700K

    Corsair h100i v2

64 gb ram corsair vengeance rgb 3000mhz

Some of our benchmark results submitted by users have a note for overclocking, it might be worth checking those: https://benchmark.chaosgroup.com/nex...40+3.70GHz+x12
