I've started to place my render channels using 'place linked' in photoshop. I know this is a bit of a vray & photoshop question but wondered if anyone has nailed a process where you can setup a photoshop file which will automatically update your alterations in photoshop using all the rendered channels when the channels are replaced by new renders.
this is what i'm hoping to do...
alter model in max
hit the render button
max / vray overwrites the 10 render channels ie. spec.png.... ref.png
these render channels are already linked (place linked) to my photoshop file, ie. reflections, spec are used in photoshop
I can't seem to get the linked Photoshop files to mask any adjustment layers, i'm not sure if this is possible... this is the main problem with my idea.... ie. so i can have a layer mask for trees which will update automatically when i render out the latest model from max.
Just wondered if anyone has thought about this before...? I'm hoping to streamline any changes to our renders.
