mattefile problem - shadow of a person under a bridge where it should not cast shadow

hello,

if i have a person walking under a bridge and i make a mattefile with everything except the person is vraymatte, i get shadow on the matteground of the person that is walking under the bridge. i want the person to get only shadow if it is walking left or right of the bridge, surely not if the person is walking under the bridge.there it should cast no shadow cause the bridge is blocking the sun there.

any idea how to get that set up? i thought that a matteobject was able to do that - block the sun and not casting shadow itself...bug or didn´t that never work before?

found my problem here...

did something change here?

why does the object-x gets shadow of a matteobject, but the shadow of the object-x is generated nevertheless
