SSS Sampling

I'm kind of new to V-Ray so I hope the question is not too silly. What would be the best way to improve the SSS sampling/accuracy using the ALSurface shader? Thank you.

I believe that the DMC sampler automatically determines the amount of samples that should go to SSS, so you can't control the SSS samples individually.

The solution will be to either increase max samples or lower the adaptive samplers noise threshold.
