  • Adaptive Amount or Noise Threshold?

Ok trying to reduce noise when doing a brute force blurry reflection but going from 8 to 16 did not do as much as it should. Which of the two QMC settings gives it better control? Adaptive Amount or Noise Threshold? My only fear is that it will effect my QMC AA and motion blur as well which don't need the extra quality contol. I realize that the QMC can be made to "see" that the motion blur and QMC AA don't "need" additional smaples but that the reflection does, but want to know what is the best way to do this.

Reducing the Noise threshold will also affect motion blur and AA. As you reduce the Adaptive amount, VRay will use less adaptation and will give you more control over the sampling by adjusting the various Subdivs parameters where necessary.
