  • Food Stall Diorama

It has been a while since I uploaded anything here. Didn't really do a lot of personal stuff I was happy with but this one I really liked how it turned out.
Guess after being in a personal lockdown for so long the need to grab some food outside has become some sort of inspiration.
And big thanks again to fixeighted for pointing me in the right direction when I was struggling with the translucency of the paper material for the lanterns.

Hehe, nice one...I love everything about this; the modelling, materials and lighting all give a great feel. The lighting makes it...as always I guess
That it's a diorama is just another plus. I love dioramas and if I had the time I'd build some myself...real ones I mean.
I have a friend who makes very cool little buildings in a medieval style and I enjoy watching his progress and the results.
The lanterns came out looking fantastic, so I'm glad to have been of some help

      Looks great!
Nice choice of colors, this needs to be in the Gallery section I think

Thank you for the nice words you two.
Fully agree. Good lighting can make a bad model look more impressive and bad lighting and demolish a good scene.
Which is why I am always nervous when getting to that part. :P
Oh damn that is pretty cool.Your friend must have a lot of patience and a gentle touch to do these for real.

....ahhh damn it. I thought I had the gallery section open. ><
If a mod could move this thread that would be much appreciated.
        Cheers,
        Oliver

Really cool! Loves these types of images.

Do you have a link to the post about the paper lamps? I've been messing about with them recently so would be interesting to see which technique you used.
