Does Vray quality change from different modeling software's?

does 3ds max + vray typically produce better results because of vray being better in 3ds max or is it just because the model itself is more detailed then say sketchup? are there any differences between vray for max and vray for sketchup besides UI?

Hi, thanks for posting. There are some differences in terms of supported features and/or materials for instance. The sampling and rendering are the same. But as you mention, to get a nice looking render you'll need good models, good shaders, realistic lighting, everything counts and combined makes a good final image.
