  • Still cam vs. Video cam

I wonder what's the difference. When creating some mechanical animations there often rotating objects. Sometimes I need to tackle down the wagon wheel effect. I normally use still cam, but I wonder if Video cam would make a difference. Anyway, here's the results I'm getting. I wonder if it's behaving correctly.

Here's Video Cam results. Why does the cylinder jacket become transparent when V-Ray camera has changed to Video Cam mode?

What would be the preferred method to render rotating objects?

Actually it's not Video CAM vs. Still Cam issue. It's V-Ray cam Shutter speed issue. This is rendered with Still camera, but the Shutter Speed has changed to 50.

Anyone has any ideas on how to render rotating objects? What are the options to create motion blur to rotating objects in a way that don't make the transparent?

E: The absolute limit for V-Ray Shutter speed seems to be 100. When camera is set below that, moving objects become transparent. How is that even possible?

Set the motion blur samples to something like 10 in the Vray-Propertires for the rotating objects.
