Interior lighting question

Hi all,

Is there a way to pre-determine the amount of light an interior needs? Rather than putting in light, then trial and error with test renders, wasting lots of render time?

not easily.. although you just get the nack of it after awhile.

I don't think it is a lot of render times..
Just for the amount of light, you can use first and secont bounce to light cache, something like 300 to 500, and th AA to -2,-1..
Image will look bad, but you'll have a clear idea of the amount of light needed in that room

My previews are like 25 to 45 seconds usually, so you'll figure out really fast what you need in there, lets say 6 or 7 tests, max 5 to 10 minutes
