  • Saved Irr maps

I am wondering about basic vray workflow. I usually do not save my irr maps or lc because I am always making changes. If I do it is only to increase the render size later on. The projects I work on (very few animations) are always changing as most designers like to use the drafts to make changes to the plans. Am I missing out here? Could I save an Irr map and use incremental for the next round of changes? Are any changes material color or lighting or geometry able to be updated with a new irr map or is it any change means there needs to be a 100% new irr map.

    Thanks

You could work with a saved irrmap if it is simply a material change (not geometry however) but you will get unpredictable results.
