  • Proper setting for Dynamic Memory Limit

When using Dynamic Geometry, the default Memory Limit is 400. Now, I know the Memory Limit is relate to how much memory we have on the machine. but how do we set it up? we have 2 types of machine here:

    1) dual xeon with Hyperthreading, 2GB Ram + 3GB switch (4 buckets)

    2) dual p4/amd, 2GB Ram + 3GB switch (2 buckets)

Please give me some advice. Thanks!

Based on the manual... this is memory per thread. If you have a dual P4 with Hyperthreading that is 4 threads so that is 1600 megs... for the AMDs that would be 800 megs. keep that in mind.
