  • rendering a white background?

How would a guy render out a pure white background? I have a 3d studio set up with three walls to do product renderings. The environment background color needs to be black as to not effect the lighting of the scene. I make the studio walls invisible to camera because I want a solid white background and to do that I have to render an alpha channel. With the environment black, the background color in the rendering is black. Anybody know how to render it white, instead of having to do this in Photoshop with an alpha channel? Does Vray have any overrides anywhere?

Yes, in the VRay:Environment dialog you'll find an environment override, set this to black.

Which Environment setting? I tried them all and none worked.

It is labeled "GI Environment (skylight) override"..., turn it on, set it to black. Make your max environment (default hotkey "8") white...
