  • controlling colour based on model- how to

I want to texture up a model of a brain using procedurals (preferrably), is Ideally I want the colour in the folds to be a deep red whilst the colour on the surface to be a lighter/pinkish. The folds will be tight so I suppose I am looking for a way to control the colour based on how close an adjacent surface is, that way as you come out of the fold towards teh surface the colour will lighten. Hope I am clear

    Thanks
    Tom

Yes You are. use VRayDirt as a mask it will just do that to blend to materials. Or two colours directly.
