Hi,
99% of my work is external daytime images. I need to do an evening version of a shot and have some questions. Here's what I've done so far:
Changed the elevation of the Vray Sun which is producing great results. Assigned a couple of low level (as in elevation, not power) external lights in the courtyard. Placed a light in various windows.
I started with vray lights set to sphere, but struggled to get them bright enough or to light anything other than a small area. I've used omni lights with attenuation and vray shadows.
My questions are:
Am I using the right lights for this purpose?
The daytime scene rendered in two hours, but the evening had a projection of nearly eight hours (I stopped it after two intending to render it tonight instead) - is this right?
Any hints, advice and assistance would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
