Hello Guys,
I've made some test between pure resolution and aDMC settings.
I try to find the best render time/quality ratio:
Here are the test and the settings :
Test 001 : 0h 12m 31.8s
384px x 272px
Sampler VrayLanczos
aDMC
Min SubD : 1
Max SubD : 32
Clr Tresh : 0.01
Adaptive Amount : 1
Min Sample : 8
VRayMtl Reflection Subdivs : 8
Test 002 : 0h 39m 33.6s
768px x 544px (reduce to 384 x 272)
Sampler VrayLanczos
aDMC
Min SubD : 1
Max SubD : 32
Clr Tresh : 0.01
Adaptive Amount : 1
Min Sample : 8
VRayMtl Reflection Subdivs : 8
Test 003 : 0h 25m 32.3s
384px x 272px
Sampler VrayLanczos
aDMC
Min SubD : 1
Max SubD : 32
Clr Tresh : 0.005
Adaptive Amount : 1
Min Sample : 8
VRayMtl Reflection Subdivs : 8
Test 004 : 2h 24m 38.3s
384px x 272px
Sampler VrayLanczos
aDMC
Min SubD : 1
Max SubD : 32
Clr Tresh : 0.001
Adaptive Amount : 1
Min Sample : 8
VRayMtl Reflection Subdivs : 8
Test 005 : 0h 36m 28.6s
1152px x 816px (reduce to 384 x 272)
Sampler VrayLanczos
aDMC
Min SubD : 1
Max SubD : 32
Clr Tresh : 0.03
Adaptive Amount : 1
Min Sample : 8
VRayMtl Reflection Subdivs : 8
Test 006 : 0h36m26.2s
1152px x 816px (reduce to 384 x 272)
Sampler VrayLanczos
aDMC
Min SubD : 1
Max SubD : 16
Clr Tresh : 0.02
Adaptive Amount : 1
Min Sample : 8
VRayMtl Reflection Subdivs : 8
Here a PSD to compare the different renderings without JPG compression

As you can see, in Test 004, going to high setting aDMC (0/32 ctl Tresh : 0.001) is useless (at constant resolution), blurry reflection are quasi-perfect, but you've got a moiré effect on the "Guilloché"... and more than 2hours and a half rendering...
The best setting, in my opinion, Test 006 and 005, higher resolution and lower aDMC setting
0h 36m without "moiré". The blurry reflection is not perfect but good enough...
I'll try to test same as Test 005 + Clr Tresh : 0.02 and test 006 + Clr Tresh : 0.01...
and I tell you if i reach to the same blurry reflection as Test 004
Hope this help...
PS : Hope I'm clear enough , poor English and French frog
