  • Fogy Water

    Hi there,

I have a client that ask me to do a bubbled pool with lighting in it.
Here are some ref images :

I have tried a lot of possibilities, but right now i'm here :

For that I have used : spot lights with volume light.
I still wait like everybody else the "Volume shader for V-ray" http://www.xn--d1abb4ane.com/blog/archives/78
I think it could be much more easier with that plug.

Does any-one has any idea witch technique I could use to have something that looks like the ref images ?

The pool will be in a room that has to be lighted with the lights of the pool.
For now, it doesn't have to be animated but I do need some different perspectives views of the room.
I don't care () of the rendertime so any idea is welcome!

    Thanks a lot

Illuminating the bottom of the pool should do the trick quite nice, and having a not perfectly refractive water surface also helps. Maybe blending it with an sss model, but that is rarely necessary.

Still, a volumetric shader is a *must*. Just as important as multiple scattering in sss.

    Best regards,
    A.
