Hi,
I`m doing recently some tests on our project, it is quite a large one( thousands of objects, a lot of hipoly instances, about ~23mil poly total ). The tests consist of comparing the time needed to prepare geometry ( the phase after it start`s `rendering`) in scanline & vray. It shows surprisingly that scanline is about ~10x faster ( 20-sec on scanline to 200sec on vray ) on the same result. No lights involved ( only default ), all objects have simple plain native material ( standard `grey` , vraytml `grey` ). I made some changes in raycaster settings according to vray manual, but it`s nowhere the speed of scanline. Did I miss something on such scenario ?\
