  • VRay Frame Buffer NOT baking passes into EXRs - How to?

I feel kinda stupid for not having figured that out yet because i think it is something simple i'm missing.

I wanna use the VRay Frame Buffer to render my passes. BUT VRay bakes all render elements into the one EXR sequence you save to. Only when i use the regular frame buffer i get em all separate. Do i have to blast the EXR sequence thru the good old vrimg extractor to get em out? I wouldn't mind rendering it all in one file but the client does...

some advice would be awesome here

    thanks in advance,
    Anselm

The only way to do this is to use the "split render channels" option in the V-Ray frame buffer options, but you have to do this before you start rendering.
