Hi all
Quick question regarding most efficient method of creating shaders.
I've been using procedural methods for texturing a lot of my work recently and am wondering what the best methods for this are.
Lets say I am using the same dirt map, for both some texturing ( masks etc), darkening of existing textures and finally using the same ao as a seperate render element.
Is it best practice to use the same node for all of these or would 3 separate vray dirt texture nodes with the same settings be as efficient.
This question also applies for procedural noises, textures, anything really.
Thanks for reading
Will.
(EDIT) could a mod please move this to the Vray for Maya render theory forum. thanks
