Render elements composition

Hi,
Since I still don't use real compositing software, it would be helpful if there was a check box for removing a render element from the final render. For instance, I add vraylighting element, check this box, and the final render is shown without this value, so I can add it in PS. I guess a "screen" or "multiply" would do a correct add, since the original render will not have this in it. I could then manipulate the lighting in PS in its layer without the original render having any lighting in it.

A way to do this would be to first substract the element (say vraylighting) from the final image and then add the new version of it, if that makes sene.

...being Difference (subtract) and Linear dodge (add) the respective blending modes.
